"The story goes like this…Once upon a time there was a man and a woman who went out to share an evening together. They laughed, talked and shared thoughtful experiences. The evening came to a close and they parted ways. The next morning he got up early and with thoughts of last night passing through his mind. Each moment made him smile. He got up and went to the flower shop and bought a big bouquet of roses and went to his new love’s house. It was too early to wake her so he left the bouquet of roses in the door, with a note to tell her what a 'perfect moment' it was, the time they captured together."

"There is a little village in the south of France that has such beauty and light. A normal day for this village is a walk into the lavender filed, picking wild roses on your way and smelling the fresh breeze of a warm summer day. A beautiful basket of flowers is brought back into the house to bring the fresh garden into the cool ambiance. If you listen closely you can hear the breeze through the trees and if you look closely you can watch the blossoms fall from the branches. A path of roses leads the way through the red door, where their romance begins."

"If you look up the pathway you will notice a glow coming from the left side around the corner. If you proceed around the corner you would find a beautiful courtyard dappled with light. I imagine a table with a couple of chairs – a place of comfort. This painting will take you there. People have walked this path. A couple of roses left behind show you the presence of romance. Was she waiting for him at the window above? Did he come to the door with two dozen roses? Enter and you will see your story evolve."

This painting is a combination between England and France. It's a little comfortable cottage. Calm, soothing place to be. In a beautiful setting. You can picture fields of lavender around the cottage. A note left on the door. Who left the note? A friend? A lover? A family member? That’s up to you to decide.
