Sweet Thoughts
26" x 36" • Large (Same as Original)
19" x 26 1/2" • Medium

"In my villa, there were beautiful windows overlooking the lavender fields and vineyards. One day he came up to the door and left me a rose and a note with such sweet thoughts..."

Romeo's Love - 16" x 17"
Giclee on Paper

"She is gazing dreamily out her shuttered window when she notices that her Romeo had mysteriously left roses on the railing. Excitedly, she drops a rose in the water intending it to float towards her lover to let him know she understands his desire for her. Thus the name "Romeo's Love." "

Tranquility - 30"w x 20"h

"I painted this painting right after 911. I wanted to remind people of the importance of peace and tranquility. If I can look at this painting and know that a feeling of peace can come over me , then I know it will do the same for you. Let there be peace on earth and tranquility between us."

Fresh Air - 23"w x 33"h

"If you stop yourself and jump into this painting you will feel the fresh air coming from the window. The curtain blows gently in returning to its original place after the breeze subsides. If you stand at the edge of the window you can see the patio below. We are up one story so you can watch the leaves drop onto the patio from the trees. Way out into the distance are fields of green grass and flowers. The air is so fresh and we have the best view."

Above it All - 20"w x 26"h

"There is a cool and misty breeze blowing off the ocean through the young girl’s dress. She can feel the salty air on her face as strands of hair blow in the wind. She feels majestic, proud and pensive as she gazes out into the horizon. Below her lays the world for she is above it al. We have all had moments when nothing bothers us and we feel content and above life."

Unspoken Courage - 20"w x 26"h

"No one, not State nor group nor individual, can take away one's human rights and freedoms."

"The flag represents one's right to a nation, to belong to a country."

"The Firefighter shows not only the rights of workers, but the responsibility to protect other people's rights and freedoms."

Far and Away - 20" x 26"

"A boy stands at the edge of the water looking out beyond the horizon. The cool salt air brushes against his face as he listens to the ocean ebb and flow against the rocks. Peacefully he dreams about the goals he wants to make come true."

Homecoming - 33"w x 22"h

"This is called Homecoming because the birds are coming home. I like the feeling of the curtain blowing out the window, and the birds all nested up in their pigeon holes. Everybody is welcome. Mattes: This looks best with a blue or green matte. I have done red to bring out the red flowers. I can even add a little color to the wall (if the customer wants). For example, some yellow or peach to match their fabric. It does cost $100 more but it makes it a custom color piece. Who could ask for more?"

Kira's Bouquet - 10"w x 15"h

"A young girl in love – inspired by the spring air- gathers wild flowers in the field to make a beautiful bouquet. She places the arrangement on the garden chair as she searches for twine to bundle the flowers. The aroma of lavender and sweet roses fills the air. Kira’s bouquet – an act of love."

The Boudoir - 15"w x 15"h

"Every women needs her Boudoir, Translated to "Pouting room". The old Chateau in France has its Boudoir with a view of the lavender fields from the window."

A Gift In January - 10"w x 15"h

"The Holidays are a time for exchanging gifts but as the New Year enters and last year's Christmas tree is left behind with it's memories, this doorstep is adorned with a lovely gift..a Gift in January."

The Wish - 15"w x 23"h

"Every boy has a wish. And every wish has it's own fairy to grant it. Can you find this little boy's fairy hidden in the painting?" (Clue: look in the upper left of the painting!)

Je t'aime (I Love You) - 15 1/2"w x 22 1/2"h

"This painting has a special meaning to me because I was painting it when I met my husband. The little note on the door says' "Je t'aime"("I love you" in French). The door has a lot of character. It is old and rotting at the bottom. So...was this their hideway? Maybe just a gardening cottage...or was it the little place at the end of a beautiful hidden path that this couple would sneak away to and escape from their everyday lives to spend some special moments together in."

Imagine - 16"w x 20"h

"Imagine the sailboat with fisherman catching the biggest catch of the day. Image a pirate ship with canons on the bow, a plank for jumping off for a swim. Imagine the sails blowing in the wind taking you to Paradise Island. This is what this child is imagining. Her dreams have no limits. It can be anything and you can create it."

Eye to Eye - 11"w x 14"h

"The old European fountains with their delicate stone carvings have always fascinated me. Truly pieces of art themselves, each one depicts the beauty of its origin. To a child passing by, curiosity strikes. "Is there water in the fountain? Can I splash around?". She goes up to the fountain and touches the water. As she looks up, she sees a little bird who has the same idea. They look into each other's eyes with understanding. This is a fun place to be!"

In Full Bloom - 14"w x 23"h

"She sits on the edge of the brick wall looking at the flowers in full bloom. Fascinated by their beauty she picks one and admires it. She resembles the beauty that is portrayed in each blossom. She experiences life at it’s fullest. Nature’s way of painting our world, and this child can see it."

Last Light - 15 1/2"w x 22 1/2"h

"A cozy house with the warmth of the sunlight streaming through the window filling the room. Little things collected through time fill the room. I like the feeling of a cool room in the background. A nice place to take a nap in mid day. Flowers were freshly picked from the garden outside. The arrangement still in progress, on the table. Someone was just there."

The Corridor - 23"w x 33"h
Regular Edition sold out. Remarque edition available.

"This painting was inspired by some architecture I saw across the street from the Opera House in Paris. The building had the long walkway, with beautiful light coming in. I thought to myself, “I need to make this place into a moment I would enjoy”. So I put a red door with lace and I created flowers, freshly dropped. (By whom?) That’s up to you. To the left of the painting where the light comes in are stairs going out to a beautiful rose garden. You can see it without the garden being there. What is special about this piece is that the walkway moves with you. Move from side to side and watch it follow you!"

Side Door - 24"w x 38"h

“There is a little village outside of Avignon. A name I don't remember. I was standing on the corner looking at how the light dabbled through the trees casting shadows on the walls and side walks. The light was very special. It was a warm glowing light that would inspire any artists. Van Gogh, Cezanne and me. This is how the painting side door came about.”

A Perfect Moment - 29"w x 19"h

"The story goes like this…Once upon a time there was a man and a woman who went out to share an evening together. They laughed, talked and shared thoughtful experiences. The evening came to a close and they parted ways. The next morning he got up early and with thoughts of last night passing through his mind. Each moment made him smile. He got up and went to the flower shop and bought a big bouquet of roses and went to his new love’s house. It was too early to wake her so he left the bouquet of roses in the door, with a note to tell her what a 'perfect moment' it was, the time they captured together."
